WHAT THE USER SHOULD KNOW


For deriving the best out of Kerala Code, the user should know either the Act Number and Year of a particular enactment or the Year of an enactment or the Short Title of an enactment or a particular word or piece of word from the Short Title of an enactment If any of the above is known to the user, the appropriate Search Option in the Kerala Code can be selected for viewing that particular Enactment. Since the List of Enactments has been made the basis of Kerala Code, the Search for any Enactment will lead to the List containing that particular Enactment The viewer should select the required Act from the List by clicking that particular Act in the List. The Rules to an Enactment are accessible only from the Opening Page of a principal Act or from the Side Menu to the principal Act. The Amending Acts to the Principal Act have also been made available in the same manner.

The viewer is free to go to a particular Section of an Enactment by selecting the 'Contents' option in the opening page of the principal Act without scrolling the whole of the Act. The Contents option, the Rules Option and the Amendments Option are also available in the Location Map Option in the topmost portion of the opening page of the principal Act. The amendments effected to a particular Section etc. are also available at the amended portion and can be known from the change of colour of the letters at that particular point. The concerned Amending Act will be available to the viewer by clicking that particular point .

The viewer can go to the end of the Act without scrolling the whole of the Act, by opting the 'Bottom' option in the Side Menu. Similarly, from the last page of the Act, access is made available to the opening page of the Act, through the 'Top' option in the Side Menu. From the opening page of an Enactment, the viewer can also go to the Home Page of the Website by selecting the option 'Home' in the top most portion of the opening page of an Enactment or from the Side Menu.
