THE PAYMENT OF SALARIES AND ALLOWANCES
(AMENDMENT) ACT, 1958

AN ACT TO AMEND THE PAYMENT OF SALARIES AND ALLOWANCES ACT, 1951.

           Preamble.—WHEREAS, it is expedient to amend the Payment of Salaries and Allowances Act, 1951, for the purpose hereinafter appearing;

                      Be it enacted in the Ninth year of the Republic of India as follows:-

            1.Short title and commencement.—This Act may be called the Payment of Salaries and Allowances (Amendment) Act, 1958 and it shall take effect from 1st April 1958.

             2.Amendment of section 8 (1) (a).-For the words ‘one hundred and twenty’ the words ‘one hundred and fifty’ shall be substituted.
