ROUTING OF FILES IN LEGISLATION SECTIONS: - 1. Files relating to Subordinate Legislation shall be routed from the level of Section Officer to the Deputy Secretary through the Under Secretary and such files shall be disposed at the level of Deputy Secretary as far as possible. But the Deputy Secretary thinks it necessary that certain files have to be disposed of by the Superior Officers, He/She may submit those files to the higher officers. 2. Files relating to Main Legislation in Leg A and Leg B Sections shall be routed from the Section Officer through Under Secretary and 3. Files relating to Main Legislation in Leg C and Leg (Unification) Sections shall be routed from the Section Officer through the Deputy Secretary and Joint Secretary to Additional Law Secretary.

Any items of work neither attended to by any Section or Officer and which has been omitted to be mentioned herein shall be continued to be attended to by that Section Officer. 4. Since Electronic file flow management system has been introduced in this department it may be ensured that all files received / originated shall invariably be disposed of through LIMS also.
